Quick Help
How does Parkwatch know when I have parked?
When your car's Bluetooth audio disconnects (you switch the car off and step away), Parkwatch checks your location and tells you whether you are in a paid parking zone. Open the app after parking and it confirms straight away.
Do I need an account?
No. Parkwatch has no sign-up and no login. There is nothing to set up but your car. It works the moment you install it.
Where is my data stored?
Only on your phone. Parkwatch has no backend and no servers, so your location and your settings never leave your device and are never uploaded anywhere. See our privacy policy.
Does the alarm work on silent or in Focus?
The parking alarm uses a time-sensitive notification so it breaks through Focus. It rings for about 15 seconds, and if you ignore it, it returns every 5 minutes until you swipe it away. Swipe once and it stops completely. There is no snooze.
Which areas does Parkwatch cover?
Street-parking zones across the Netherlands, built on the Dutch national parking register. Tap any area on the map to see whether it is paid, free, or covered by a permit, and the price.
Can Parkwatch show parking garage prices?
Garages appear as pins on the map. Tapping one shows its name and address and links to the operator's own website, where live prices and free-space counts are shown. Those numbers come from the operator, not from Parkwatch.
Is Parkwatch free?
Yes. The core answer, "do I have to pay here?", is free and always will be.
